Description
These delicate poppies are so pretty but don't last long at all especially on a windy day. This bloom was only just opened early in the morning and the petals were gone in the afternoon. Still, to me it is a wonderful subject for a macro capture.

Interesting structure, Kim, even though the petals blew away so soon. What colour is the poppy when it has it's blooms ? Does it grow wild in your fields and meadows ?
Kim Tran replied:
Hi Catherine, not sure the exact name for these miniature poppies but they have golden colours ( one in the background ). My daughter was given a seeds packet of wild popies in different colours to sow in a garden corner a few years ago and they grow back more every year.
